First up in the news….

Paradox, the leading Assistive Intelligence platform for talent acquisition and talent experience, announced an aggressive business expansion plan for 2019 and beyond.

They announced the continued expansion of the team with plans to double staffing again in 2019. The company’s hiring will focus primarily on product, sales and client success teams, including growing the company’s US footprint through opening the first two regional offices in Dallas and Chicago.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth and client adoption these last two years,” stated Aaron Matos, Paradox Founder/CEO. “In 2018, we tripled our revenue, doubled our team, and tripled the number of clients that we serve. Our product portfolio has greatly broadened as we’ve partnered with our clients to better support their candidates throughout the hiring process and their career. We have a big vision for how we can transform recruitment and the talent experience with assistive intelligence. We’re still early on that journey.”

The Paradox team also announced completion of their Series A funding totaling $13.34 million. Investors have not been disclosed, the company has been funded previously by its founder.

New York City based Wade & Wendy, an AI recruitment platform, just closed a $7.6m Series A funding. The round was led by Jazz Venture Partners, with help from current investors Randstad Innovation Fund, ff Venture Capital and Indicator Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for the continued product development.

Founded in 2015 and led by Drew Austin, CEO, Wade & Wendy is a conversational AI recruiting company featuring:

  • Wendy, an AI recruiter responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending talent and automates repetitive, time-consuming hiring tasks, and
  • Wade, an AI recruiter working on behalf of the talent, informing them of opportunities that are relevant based on their interests and experiences.

The company recently entered into a multi-year contract with Randstad Sourceright, a global talent leader responsible for over 150,000 job placements annually, to drive the adoption of Wendy.

NASHUA, N.H.– Claro Workforce Analytics, a platform of unique workforce insights that helps organizations improve employee engagement, reduce voluntary attrition, and discover diverse talent faster, today announces that it has raised $1.1 million in new funding led by Beta Bayview LLC, with participation from Kline Hill Partners and G-Bar Ventures.

Ceridian , a global human capital management (HCM) cloud-based technology company, announced today its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Clearview Logix, a Richmond, Virginia-based leading decision-support analytics company, and certain intellectual property assets, including paysa.com, from Paysa, a Palo Alto, California-based AI-powered personal career advisor.

Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Clearview Logix builds analytics models to simplify health insurance choices for employees, employers, and their administrative partners. . Paysa.com empowers employees to explore salaries across companies, jobs, and locations.

“Ceridian will fully integrate the technology of these two acquisitions within Dayforce to help our customers attract, engage and develop the very best people, while saving costs and reducing the administrative burden,” the company added.
